Practical, calm support—based on real experience

I’ve lived and worked in France for over 20 years and have been through the same processes many expats face — compiling dossiers, dealing with paperwork, and learning how to navigate French administration step by step.

I’m British-born and bilingual, familiar not just with the language but with the cultural expectations that often sit behind the process. I know from experience that things aren’t always as clear or consistent as they should be. Requirements can shift, information doesn’t always align, and it’s easy to lose time trying to piece everything together on your own.

Before doing this work, I had a varied professional background, including several years in the energy industry, before working as a feature writer and teaching at a French university. Those experiences shaped the way I work now: I explain things clearly, avoid unnecessary jargon, and focus on what’s actually useful.

A clearer, more manageable way forward

Over time, I’ve learned how to approach French administration in a way that is patient, organised, and effective.

That means understanding what’s really needed, preparing things properly from the start, and knowing when—and how—to follow things up.

It also means staying calm when something doesn’t go to plan, and knowing how to move things forward without unnecessary stress.

When we work together, I begin by listening carefully. I take the time to understand your situation properly — not just the paperwork, but where you are in the process and what’s causing difficulty.

From there, I give considered, practical advice in plain English. The aim is to cut through the confusion and help you see clearly what matters, what can wait, and what to do next.

Not sure what help you need? Send me a message or arrange a brief call to discuss your situation.
